Privacy Policy

In short

Glaux keeps your finances on your iPhone, encrypted. An account is optional: sign in only if you want your data on several devices — it is then also stored on our server in the EU. We show no ads, use no trackers and sell nothing.

Who is responsible

Glaux is a personal finance app for iPhone, developed by Bohdan Yeromenko (Ukraine), who is the controller of your data. For any question about your data, write to privacy@glauxmoney.com.

Without an account

Your transactions, categories, plans, goals, loans, assets, notes, receipt photos and profile photo are stored only on your iPhone, encrypted (AES-256) with a key kept in the iPhone's Keychain. Your name and date of birth, if you enter them, are kept in the app's settings on the device, protected by iOS. We receive none of this.

With an account

If you sign in with Google (later also with Apple), that service gives us your name, email address and, if you have one, your profile picture. We use them only to identify your account.

Your financial data, profile and files (receipt photos, profile photo) are then also stored on our server, so they sync between your devices. We process them to provide the sync you turned on.

The server is run by Supabase in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany). Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest, and access rules let each account reach only its own records. This is not end-to-end encryption: as the operator, we technically have access to the server. We do not look at your data, except when you ask us for help or the law requires it.

Service providers

Supabase (EU) — server and file storage. Google, and later Apple — sign-in. Cloudflare — this website. They process data only on our behalf; we pass it to no one else.

What we never do

No advertising, no tracking across apps or websites, no analytics or advertising SDKs, no selling or renting of data.

Diagnostics

The app keeps a short technical log on your iPhone to help fix errors. It leaves the device only if you choose to share it with us yourself.

This website

This website uses no cookies and no analytics. It only remembers the language you choose, in your own browser. Cloudflare, which hosts it, processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.

Keeping and deleting data

Without an account, your data stays on your iPhone until you delete it or remove the app.

With an account, we keep your data until you delete the account. You can do this in the app at any time: your account, all your records and all your files are removed from the server. They disappear from our backups within 30 days.

When you sign out or delete your account, the app also clears your data from that iPhone.

Your rights

You may ask for a copy of your data, its correction or deletion, and object to its processing. Write to privacy@glauxmoney.com; we will answer within 30 days. If you live in the EU, you may also complain to your data protection authority.

Children

Glaux is not intended for children under 16.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
